Kiss Me

But not on the lips….

So I passed in the grocery today and saw yet another new product from the good old folks at the Kiss Baking Company! I was duly impressed without having even tasted their new Fillerz product as they used another classic sandwich accompaniment Peanut Butter and Jelly (PB&J). They had just probably a month or two before made their first introduction to their new Fillerz range with Cheese filled rolls which to me were ingenious and delicious and well and adequately priced at $4.99 for two mini rolls.

The new PB&J product also didn’t disappoint my taste buds either and I am certain it will do well in the market. These new products are just a couple of new additions to Kiss’s range in the last two years or so. It can be clearly seen that the company is making a conscious effort through their New Product Development (NPD) department to introduce new products into the market at a constant and consistent rate. This I am sure is part of their overall Marketing and Corporate Business Strategy for increasing and sustaining Market Share in a very competitive market.

Kiss is no longer known for bread. The company with the “Vital supplies” tagline is also known from their snack range that includes their classic Cream filled cakes and the relatively new products: Brownies, Jelly filled cakes, Corn muffins, Croissants, Raisin buns, Muffins, Doughnuts, Banana nut bread, Sweetbread, Sliced cakes, and the new Fillerz sandwiches. Apart from their snack range another recent creation is the Wrap-a-Daps product.

On a downside I could find no social media presence for the company except for a Facebook fan page for their Desert Cake line which is active and has 15,000 plus members which is good. But a general fan page or individual pages for other major products are nonexistent. In this day and age with the prevalence and importance of social media that is unacceptable! I think Kiss is truly missing out on an opportunity to engage and secure existing customers and to sway and introduce new ones to the many products they produce.

But still kudos to the Kiss Baking Company for their excellent commitment to not only NPD but for making new products that lash! (taste good J
